The Programme "Young Entrepreneur in a Modern City"

The Programme has been carried out by the Youth Forum of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice since January 2014 after a two year preparation based on working with the members of Young Entrepreneurs in Silesia. The programme is meant to be run continously with annual finals during European Congress MSE in Katowice. The 1st final is going to take place during 4th ECSME (22-25.09) in the form of the 1st European Forum of Youth Entrepreneurs. It will consist of the number of events which are a part of the programme of the whole congress. At present there are 150 Youn Entrepreneurs from whole silesian voivodeship and neighbouring voivodeships participating in the programme.
When working by the Programme, a definition of "Young Entrepreneur" came into being - people not older than 35, who have run their own companies (in the form of self-employed businesses or partnership) not longer than for 3 years.
Young Entrepreneurs for 6 months have had an occasion to take a part in special workshops in 6 different fields concerning running a business as a whole. We attach great importance to such spheres as (law, taxes, finance, modern marketing, sales, HR). Workshops were run by experts - entrepreneurs, who specialize in a different range of every day business. The profiles of the experts are available on the websites of the Programme: www.mlodyprzedsiebiorca.org
Both the board and the experts work for the Programme as volounteers.
POLISH STARTUP MANIFESTO

The outcome of the 1st edition of Programme is a Polish Start-up Manifesto which will be composed of 25 recomendations in 5 areas important for the development of young people's initiative in our country (Freedom of Business Activity, Entrepreneurship Development, Legal and tax Environment, Local Administration, Start-up Ecosystem). The Manifesto is prepared in colaboration with partners. We want to create a community which will support changes in the development of enterprise, which will contribute to the development of Polish economy. Everybody can support the Manifesto and monitor how the recomendations which are included in the document are introduced in our life.
