Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice (CCI) was established by 103 founders on 13th February 1990 and registered on 21st March 1990. It's an organization of economic self-government, which associates business entities. The Chamber holds a legal status on the basis of the Economic Chambers’ Act from 30th May 1989 and its own Statute. CCI in Katowice continues the tradition of the Chamber of Commerce founded in Katowice in 1922 and the Silesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which functioned in years 1927-1950.

Polish Chamber of Commerce (PCC) founded in 1990 is the largest economic self-government institution in Poland. We group above 150 business organizations. PCC promotes social responsibility of business. Our trainings and conferences encourage to implement the highest standards of business ethics. Entrepreneurs which are the most meritorious in the social field get awards in The “Fair Play Enterprise” Program.
PCC cares about entrepreneurs in the international arena. PCC is a member of EUROCHAMBRES, Association of the European Chambers of Industry and Commerce, which groups the European chambers of commerce, and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris. PCC also cooperates with the biggest worldwide national organizations. By taking a chair of Vice President of Eurochambres, the President of PCC, Mr. Andrzej Arendarski enforced PCC’s position in the european arena.
PCC does its best to increase the international recognition of Poland. PCC is aware of chances that Polish companies will have on the international markets if Poland is perceived more positively. That is why PCC organizes national exhibitions (Hanover, Aichi), invites entrepreneurs to international trade, fairs, trade missions, economic forums, multi and bilateral business meetings.

Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) is a government agency that has been providing support to entrepreneurs in the implementation of competitive and innovative projects for over 10 years. The primary objective of our activity is to develop the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises in Poland. To support entrepreneurs, PARP uses the funds from the State budget and European Funds. In the 2007-2013financial perspective, the Agency is responsible for the implementation of measures under three Operational Programmes: Innovative Economy, Human Capital and Development of Eastern Poland.
One of the key tasks of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development is to support export, including strengthening of the competitive position of Polish enterprises on foreign markets and making it easier for small and medium-sized enterprises to get in touch with foreign companies in their business. To that end, PARP offers Polish SMEs an opportunity to participate in economic missions organised around the world, cooperative exchanges and fair events. Furthermore, Enterprise Europe Network operating under PARP provides an opportunity for the entrepreneurs seeking foreign partners to publish their company profile in the Cooperation Offers’ Database accessible by approximately 600 network units in Europe and around the world. Moreover, Enterprise Europe Network offers comprehensive services covering information, training and counselling measures mainly in the field of European Union law and policies, business activity in Poland and abroad, access to sources of financing, internationalisation of enterprises, transfer of technologies and participation in EU framework programmes.

Ministry of Economy is a professional, effective, credible and modern institution that applies government's economic policy in relations with social partners, also through active participation in the works of European Union and other international organisations. The mission of the Ministry of Economy is to create the best environment for business activities in Europe. The actions that the Minister of Economy takes in matters of enterprises and entrepreneurship are aimed at creating favourable conditions for their development through, among other things, strengthening of competitive advantages that leads to long-term sustainable economic growth. Those actions have the primary goal of improving the access to capital that enterprises have, strengthening of entrepreneurial attitudes and filling the information gap by providing analyses of industrial sectors' competitiveness.

The Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ), helps investors to enter the Polish market and find the best ways to utilise the possibilities available to them. We guide investors through all the essential administrative and legal procedures that involve a project; we also support firms that are already active in Poland. We provide rapid access to the complex information relating to legal and business matters regarding the investments, help in finding the appropriate partners and suppliers, together with new locations. PAIiIZ’s mission is also to create a positive image of Poland across the world, promoting Polish goods and services.
In order to provide the best possible service to investors we’ve established a network of Regional Investor Service Centres across Poland, which have as their goal improvement of the quality of a region’s investor services, also to ensure access to the latest information - such as, the latest investment offers and to regional micro-economic data. These specialist Bureau’s hire professionals that have been trained by PAIiIZ and are financed by local authority funds. Another of their task is to work as links between the investors and local authorities.
