THE HONORARY PATRONAGE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND BRONISŁAW KOMOROWSKI
UNDER THE PATRONAGE OF MR JOSÉ MANUEL BARROSO, PRESIDENT OF THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION
THE HIGH PATRONAGE OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT
III European Congress of Small and Medium-Size Enterprises in 2013 will be held under the motto: "Cooperation of companies of the MSME sector in the regional, national and international dimension". In the face of globalization of economic processes building competitiveness of enterprises demands effective cooperation of companies, especially in the sector of SME, and institutions of business environment.
Cooperation of companies and their contractors, scientific-research units and institutions of business environment makes a coherent system, within the framework of which companies that have a limited access to knowledge can obtain it from an external source, which allows generating new ideas and identification of new competitive advantages. Other benefits resulting from a good cooperation include easier and cheaper access to productive resources, creation of own productive and intellectual resources, increase of effectiveness of a company's functioning and influence on improvement of institutional-legal environment.
Interest in the previous editions of the Congress shows how big is the demand for such events, which give possibilities for exchange of experiences and opinions. Meeting these expectations, Katowice will become a real platform of discussion, which points to the new solutions and chances for small and medium-size enterprises, and new directions, in which this dynamic sector will be developing.
At the same time, I would like to draw attention to the initiative of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, which is connected to participation in the Congress of the representatives of European agencies for support of entrepreneurship of small and medium-size enterprises. Presence of these institutions in Katowice will be a great ocassion to exchange experiences and good practices among particular countries in the scope of support for SME and creating a network of new business contacts.
Relating to a consolidated tradition of previous years, results of debates and discussions will be put into recommendations, which indicate directions for further development of the SME sector in Poland.
